What you Need:
1 15oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (liquid reserved)
2 Tbsp. tahini
2 cloves garlic
juice of one lemon
1 tsp cumin (or other spices to taste, as desired)
What you do:
Place all ingredients in food processor. Process, adding enough of the reserved liquid (about 1/4 cup) to make a smooth spread.
You can substitute curry powder for the cumin. Also, chipotle chili powder and lime juice substituted for the lemon works well! Try different spices. Just remember to start small, taste and add more to suit your palate.
